Several members attended the MSU Technical Tour of the Old Main Classroom Building where we discussed with the students about the energy efficient design of the building, the innovative envelope systems that were used, and gave them a first hand look at several of the mechanical systems. About 50 students were in attendance along with the Associate Director of Engineering Services, JD Hardy. The tour ended with the ASHRAE members and several students enjoying a pizza party while we discusses what ASHRAE is and even helping them with their final HVAC assignment.
The Chapter offered to cover the cost for one year of Student Membership to anyone who attended. We look forward to having these young men and women enter into our industry and become active members of our Society.
